I'm thinking of buying a used 6310i that I think has old firmware.
Can I upgrade the 6310i firmware myself?

    Thanks,
    Dave

If you've got the right equipment, yes. To do the job right you'll need a
    Twister, Griffin or Prodigy box.

Costing around £200 or so. Unless you plan on flashing firmware for a
living, take it to a Nokia Service Centre and let them do it. It'll be a
lot cheaper, they'll even do it free if the phone is still under warranty.
