Does anyone know where I can find a DEFINITIVE list of the latest Firmware
for the Nokia 6230? (Version numbers and which bugs they fix / features they
add) All I can find are half-truths, rumours and downright lies on this.
I currently have 3.15, there seems to be a 3.17 (Which some places say is
Orange only)
Surely Nokia themselves must publish details somewhere? There must be
somwhere I can get a definitive answer. Would my local (12 miles away) Nokia
shop be able to help answer this?
On the subject, some sites mention the fact that the latest version (4.28??)
nobbles half of the phones 9Mb internal memory, anyone tell me what that is
all about...?)
Thanks,
ChrisM

Try it. Nokia did not answer but redirected me to the next shop.

I am still waiting for an answer from them.

Munch,
Thanks for your reply, I've seen this page, but who runs that site, is this
definitive, or just what one person (Marcin?) has found out?
It's still not that clear. Should I get upgraded to 4.28? Would it solve
some of the problems I've been having? Why does it steal half my phones
memory? I guess it must be much bigger/ add a lot of new features? but where
can I find out??? :-/
Cheers,
ChrisM.

Chris, I don't think you will do much better than that site,
unfortunately. I don't know about the memory loss. I have asked why
before on a few forums without a reply, just others wanting to know
the same thing...

Chris found this on the memory problem:
"<snip> but there are still bugs, the internal memory shown in the
phone had decreased to 3.9m. But actually the physical size is not
changed! So nokia should keep modify the phone."
In this thread:

Source seems reliable...?
