I'd go for the 7610, because I prefer the candybar design against the
    clamshell (flip) form factor.

    > any comparator between this 2 phones is appreciate..

You can easily compare their technical features at
http://www.nokia.com/phones/comparephones by choosing the 6260 and 7610, and
    then clicking "Compare".

You can see that the 7610 has several benefits: it weighs 118 grams (against
130 grams of the 6260) and has a megapixel camera (against the VGA camera of
    the 6260).

Then again the 6260 supports standard MMC cards (against the RS-MMC cards of
the 7610), supports stereo audio (against mono audio of the 7610) and has an
integrated FM radio (which the 7610 doesn't have). When the flip is closed
(traveling in your pocket), the 6260 is a lot smaller than the 7610
    candybar.

AND, the 7610 doesn't have an infared port.

    Who uses IR these days?

This connectivity type should be confined to remote controls only!

I really like the look of the 6260 and it seems from reading the previews
that it is aimed at business users, which is good. I'm a bit confused about
the size though - presumably when it's folded up/closed it would be double
the thickness, which would make it a lot wider than the 7610?

Does anyone know when it's coming out in the UK?

    I do.

With Nokia phones I connect to my laptop for contact list maintenance and when
in the field, it is easy to give someone a phone number when they also have an
IRDA port. Point the phones at each other and presto - the number is in the
    other phone.

But as BT is becoming the de-facto connectivity method - it is more reliable
with no need for line of sight.

    Here's some comparation:
    7610 has better camera, 1152 x 864 when 6260 has 640x 480
    7610 doesn't have radio
    7610 has got 8 mb built-in memory and 6260 has 6 mb
    6260 hasn't got games
    6260 has got more screensavers
7610 has pre-installed Ringtones monophonic, polyphonic, and true tones,
    6260 has only polyphonic
7610 hasn't got infrared (when i get 6260, i can use it as a remote control
    to tv)

So, 7610 is much more expensive only because of good camera, and i don't
think cell phone should even have camera.

Clearly over half UK cell phone buyers think you are wrong.

That may or may not be true. It is true that there is little choice if you
want a decent spec phone without a camera and camera phones are selling very
well but I wish there was more of a choice for those who dont want the
    camera.

    Cheers, JL

    I agree.

I already have a good digital camera, capable of taking pictures and
videoclips (with sound) at a greater quality than any phone-camera.

I do not want to pay for an inbuilt camera when I have no need for one.

Really? Have you maybe thought of that maybe they want the phone that has
camera, but they don't want it because of camera?
It's just like me, even if 6260 wouldn't have camera, i would buy it.
