Firmware upgrade question!

Hello Folks,

I'm looking towards updating the firmware on my 6600 as I currently only
have '3.42.1. 16-10-03 NHL-10'. I'm aware that a firmware update will wipe
any info from my phone, however can anyone confirm if I perform a Backup via
Nokia Suite of the phone, then have it upgraded and then perform a Restore
via Nokia Suite that ALL the info from my 6600 will be retained?

Yes, all the info will be retained. You may find it quicker and
easier to back-up the phone memory to the memory card, and then remove
the card. This is what I did, and that also worked fine.

Hadn't realised you can perform a phone to card back-up! But I do now!

Me either till the guy in the service centre told me, after I spent
ages trying to back up with PC suite
