I'm having lots of trouble making the phone
recognise my voice commands (it only seems to
    work 10% of the time).

    Any tips?

Is the accuracy affected by the number of
commands I use? (doesn't seem to be, I've removed
all but 1 or 2 and still can't get good recognition...)

I don't have a 6600, but I assume the principle is the same for all
    Nokias...
The thing to bear in mind is that it is not really voice recognition, more
'sound recognition'. So you need to try and make sure you record your voice
tags in a similar environment to where you will usually use them. Normally
try to record them somewhere fairly quiet. Loud noises when recording the
tags, or indeed trying to use them will affect the accuracy. You also need
to speak the words in the same way as when you recorded them.

An example here is that I had a problem with one voice tag, that didn't seem
to work properly, when I listened to the original tag I had recorded, It
turned out that my dog had 'woofed' in the middle of the tag, so unless I
could get him to bark at the same point everytime I wanted to use that tag,
I would need to re-record it.

Accuracy will possibly be affected by the number of tags you record, but if
you try to use long and distinct words for your commands you should be OK.
Eg1 You might have trouble with 'Bill' and 'Jill' so maybe try to use 'Bill
Smith' and 'Jill Jones' and you would be OK. Eg2 If you had a voice-tagged
contact called 'Daveio Goff' you might want to think of a different command
for 'Radio Off'. I think you get my drift... ;-)
