Okay, here's the problem. I've been searching, and found out that it's
either GSM or SNPP, the name doesn't matter though. Anyway, I have
unfortunately not been able to find a list of the characters, that you
can use with this standard SMS protocol, so I was wondering, if
anybody could help me with that?

Re: A standard SMS protocol for Nokia 3510i?
The standards document detailing character-sets available for use with GSM
and the MMS protocols can be found in a 3GPP/ETSI document 23.038. That
just *****s out what characters are standardized in the specification;
neither Nokia nor the operators are obligated to implement and recognise the
entire range of character-sets. Caveat.
