I notice the new 9500 communicator has a camera. Looking at some posts
on the newsgroup i see that camera phones are banned in quite a few
workplaces so the mutts nuts 9500 is not going to sell as well is it?
Just a thought!

Several Nokia models that have sold well to business customers have cameras,
such as the Nokia 6230, 6600 and 6820. The 6620 has just started shipping in
the U.S. and I've heard nothing positive feedback. In the U.S. the PalmOne
Treo 600 has sold particularly well to business users and it has a VGA
camera too.
Thus my conclusion is that this issue has been hugely exaggerated. If
cameras suddenly become an issue, all the manufacturers will have to react
to it. I don't actually know very many companies or other organizations that
have banned camera phones. I do know a few, of course.
However, according to wide-spread rumours a new Communicator Lite (93xx)
model is on the way without a camera.

Re: 9500 and camera
PalmOne is recognizing that some business users don't want a camera
with their phone (or smartphone) and they are releasing a Treo 600
without a camera. I believe that SprintPCs offers a camera-less Treo
600 (http://tinyurl.com/475ny).
