Nokia 6600
Firmware:
v. 4.09.1
26-02-04
NHL-10
I have the CID service. When I call my cell from home, my home
number appers properly on the 6600's screen (ie: 1-<area code>-123-4567 )
This same number is entered in the 6600's phone book.
But instead of saying "Home calling" and playing the
special ringtone, it only show the phone number (as if it
wasn't in the phonebook) and plays the default tone.
Any ideas?

Re: Caller ID recognition problem!
look for a duplicate entry in the phonebook.
duplicate entry = neither being recognised.

Yes, I fell for that one! Another thing is to ensure that the country code
is stored as part of the number.

Re: Caller ID recognition problem!
only a problem if the local numbers are particularly short...
nokias match the last 8? or so digits of the phone number...
