UNABLE TO COPY FILES OR FORMAT MMC CARD

After placing the MMC card onto the Nokia 6230 it refuse to copy files into
it using USB Card Reader/Writer. It also refuse to be formated and show
"Cannot Copy }: The disk is write-protected. Remove the write-protection or
use another disk"

Please HELP.

Card maybe duff, try another one.

Also try reformatting it on the USB reader/writer, as FAT and NOT FAT32.

Have you already tried to rename your card .. I had some problem with mine
because it had no name ..

Thank for response but yes i did rename it but still no luck.
I still have the same message.

Even my friend has problem with his memory card. Only his phone
reconises it. He can format, copy, install, delete and write to it from
his phone. But connect it to any other phone/computer it does not work.
he says he has locked it with some serial no but does not remember how
to undo it. But why the USB interface does not even detect a drive is
beyond me.

a problem is that u haven't log in ur computer as the adminstrator.. therefore u cannot alter the files

this is rajan mehta from india.i m sending u this post regarding the
problem i m facing.i m unable to copy files on my mmc through card
reader.it is giving the errors that the disk is write protected.

so i humbly request u that plz give me some solution of this problem my
