Hi A friend of mine has just got a Nokia 7610 and over the weekend we
decided to install the software on to his Toshiba Laptop with
Bluetooth fitted.
We first of all decided to use the supplied data lead which goes from
the phone to a USB socket. So installed the usb drivers as directed
followed by the software, but unfortunately the software is not able
to find the phone. Then tried it via the bluetooth, followed the
instructions for that, still no good.
Any help to get it to work will be most welcome.
TIA
Tony

Which version of Windows are you using?
Providing your Plug and Play drivers are working correctly (any problems
installing any other hardware?), your 7610 should be discovered as soon as
it is plugged in.
Hope this helps,

Using Windows XP Pro with SP2 upgrade. No problem with any other
software. When you connect the phone to the usb lead it sees it and
ask's you to insert the CD with the drivers on. It then proceeds to
load them, but when this is done it still does not see the phone in
the Nokia software suit.
When you close the computer down and restart it asks you to install
the drivers again and keeps on doing this.
Hope this info will give you some idea of what is wrong.

Have you got the drivers installed correctly? (You need to install them
*before* you connect your 7610).
It shouldn't be asking for your CD if you already have the drivers
installed.
Failling that, haven't tried it with SP2 so couldn't confirm is there is a
compatibility issue there.
