MobiMB doesn't want to install a game

I want MobiMB to install a game on my new 6610i, but it refuses to
do so. It does install the same Java midlet on my old 6610, and
Nokia Application Installer installs it too on my 6610i (but not
in the Games folder). Does someone know why this happens?

Thanks for the tip. It worked for one of the games, but not for the other.
I keep getting "Error creating Java application" from MobiMB when I try
to install it on my 6610i. The strange thing is, it _does_ install it
on a 6610 with no problems, with both the original and the recreated
..jad file. Strange. Any other suggestions (except for mailing Nokia that
PC suite should be able to install in the Games folder too)?

After editing the .jad file by hand (MobiMB seems to puke on the vendor
name, "tinkle / FN"), by changing this in just "tinkle" it installs.
However, the phone seems now to think the midlet is corrupt: it shows
a standard icon with a bar through it and shows only one menu option:
remove. I know the midlet is OK since it works on that phone when PC suite
installs it.

Hmmm. I unzipped the .jar file, edited the file MANIFEST.MF to change
the vendor name too, rezipped it and uploaded it again. Now it works.

Seems to me a bug in MobiMB 2.2: it chokes on slashes in vendor names.

My suggestion would be to email me about it to see if I can work around it
in MobiMB :-) You can send the exact details to support@logomanager.co.uk

The 'Error creating Java application' is a message from the phone and is
probably due to an invalid filename being used.

Mike
