I've been searching the net but to no avail. Some sites tell you that
you need to remove the SIM card. I'm not even sure how to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

With Nokia it's optional. With no SIM in the phone you'll need to
enter code quickly or it will return the message "insert SIM."

As far as how to remove it just remove the battery cover and the SIM
should be found underneath the battery. It's a small chip with gold
colour contacts on one side about 2 cm X 1 cm with one corner cut off
    at a 45 degree angle.
