I cannot find a way to alert me when my phone loses its signal. I've
looked for series 60 apps all over the internet (psiloc, handago,
symbiangear, etc.) but no luck. Surely this would be a useful app for
a lot of people. I have certain dead zones where I put my phone down.
I'd like to know if it loses signal so I can move it someplace else.
I'd hate to be "unavailable" all day because I put my phone in a bad
    spot.

    Thanks,
    Bob

Have you tried leaving the Network Selection in Manual?

I have, and it bleeps every time there is a loss of coverage.

Put it down face up. Look at the display. Cheapest app you ever
    bought.

Yes, I have, and I might be stuck with that mode, but as I roam around
    town I would prefer that it auto-selected. I guess I can't have
    everything. :-|

But it will show full strength, and if I look 5 minutes later, it may
show no signal. It jumps all over without even moving it. AT&T
admints I'm in a fringe. So I would like it to beep when it loses
signal, and hopefully I can figure out the spots to avoid over time.
