Why do people do that..? For the same amount of effort you could have
answered the question and gained a friend not antagonised someone and
maybe made an enemy. Yes he could have used Google but maybe he's had a
long day and couldn't summon up the effort, I know I feel like that a lot,
particularly at this time of year..!

In any case, if all we had to do is look up Google, why have this or any
    other group at all..?

For the OP, Crux can be found here: http://unlock.nokiafree.org

what a crock of ****. this group is not here for lazy dickheads.

because there are plenty of questions google cannot answer

someone that can figure out how to use newsgroups should be able to figure
    out how to use google.

And he may well end up with one of the many clones of the Crux calculator as
    well.

To the OP: Crux's calc is available for download at the UselessInfo site in

Because, from memory, Google had about 52 links.

Should I post them all, be late at work, and get the sack?

Google should always be first point of call before asking this type of
    question.

You seem to have it well figured out. You're smarter than the rest of
us. We're proud of you. OK?

uuuummmmmmmm So assholes can tell newbies that Google is their frend maybe?

For those who continually say that Google is my freind - it's not. I ask a
specific question and get 287435 responses from google. Not what I want.

Here typically someone can give the information asked for immediatly (with a
slight wait of a day or so) like -

Asking people to 'Google it' is basically saying 'I probably know but why
should I tell you if you cant be bothered putting the effort in'. A response
that annoys me too as I thought the whole point of newsgroups is to help
    each other.
