What's the real difference . . .

.. . . if any, between Nokia desktop charger stand dcv-14 and dcv-15?

I asked Nokia that question and their response was baffling. It went
something like: "They are identical, but we recommend using the dcv-14
only for [list of phones] and the dcv-15 only for [another list of
phones]; we recommend you do not use either charger stand for phones
other than those we recommend."

Upon query, "What do you mean they're identical but . . .?" there was no
further intelligent response, only reiteration of the same apparent
double-speak.

Anyone have factual knowledge?

Yes.

Factual knowledge is that Nokia "customer service" leaves a little to be
desired!!

Seems like most of their operators are school leavers, with minimal product
knowledge. They are supposed to be there to support their customers, but
invariably their information is misleading, and "there is no further
intelligent response, only reiteration of the same apparent double-speak".

If you are VERY lucky (when you call Nokia), you may get to speak to someone
that DOES know what they are talking about!!

I empathize with you Richard.
