Does any body know what the appliocation "caribe" is?.
The logo looks like a peice of a jigsaw puzzle.
It was sent to my phone by bluetooth message and got installed when I opened
it. Since then it has given me numerous problems and effecting he phone
performance. Despite deleting the programem the problem persists.

And this is why you should only accept file transfers from people you know
(and who have a clue ;-)).
There's a removal tool on Symantec's website.

It's a Symbian bluetooth virus /worm.
A search on Google for caribe will give you loads of info.
Kaspersky AV have a caribe removal tool which i have successfully used on an
NGage, 3650 and also a 6600.

caribe is a BT virus that seems to broadcast to all BT phones in range. even trying to turning off bt on the effected phone doesn't help. someone in our office had it and after 2 days of pressing 'do not accept' every 1 minute i accepted. when looking for a solution i found the removal tool (works great) and two notes on caribe:
1) you have to be dumb enough to accept it
2) you have to be dumb enough to run it once you receive it!
duh! good one me!
