Memory Card file manager for Nokia 6230?

I noticed you can only move files in and out of the base directory of a mem
card thats in a Nokia 6230. Is there an app which lets you move files within
folders of the mem card? Maybe a Java file manager?

on the 6230 you can manage the mmc quite well. you can add folders
very easily. you just need to read the manual, gallery section of the
menu.

I know you can create folders, but try moving a file into one of your newly
created directories, it's impossible

possible for me. 6230, firmware 4.44

Firmware 5.24 here, when I go to option > move on a file thats in the root
of the memory card, it just gives me options to move it to a phone memory
based folder, or onto the memory card again (which obviously gives the Name
already exists message)

strange. when i go to options > move, it lets me move a file from the
root of mmc into a folder on the mmc.

I think I know where you might be going wrong. You need to highlight the
folder you want to move it to, then use the left softkey to move it. This
caught me out at the start.
