G'day
At the moment I'm using my son's Nokia 8210 (with my SimCard) and the
battery was going flat in 48 hours on standby only. To send or receive
one SMS, one bar on power meter would be used, so SMS receive/send would
use ALL available power in a few minutes.
I bought a new battery.......same thing is happening, it's a pain.
Anyone have suggestions for a possible fix, or know the problem with
this phone? My Nokia 5110 (yeah, I know it's a dinosaur) would last
7-10 days on standby still using it's original battery.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
HC ;-)

i had the same problem and changed battery and it was OK but i was using a
different charger.I was using one that pushed 3.7v and not the one with 5.7v
also i have been reliably informed that on most occaisions the power amp is
the problem.

Thanks for your reply.......I should have mentioned that I've tried two
different chargers. Just checked and they are both 3.7v output. I've
emailed Nokia but still waiting for a reply. ;-)
