    hi,

i've got a 6230 and 7250i, would it be possible to tuse the same data cable
    on both mobiles? i think the 6230 requires a dku2 and 7250i requires a dku5.
could i use just 1 of them?

    thanx

I'd forget data cables and go for an infra red dongle instead. It'll be
cheaper and you'll be able to use it on many other phones as well.

And? For versatility given the two handsets concerned it's still the best
choice and a damned sight less hassle than trying to get a cheap third party
cable working properly. If the cable/dongle is needed for general
synchronisation and uploading ringtones/logos IR is still the best choice
but it would be a little slow if you're planning on putting a large MMC card
in in the 6230 and uploading MP3's to it.

    Re: data cables?

i want it for mp3's, etc.
i bought a bluetooth dongle today, (belkin) and it all works fine, but it
has too many processes. in msconfig, i have 2 extra in their.

i've installed the nokia software as well, which works good, but that had 2
processes as well, when i start my pc up. its sort of slowing down my pc.

i can stop all of these, but now i cant get the bluetooth icon off the
desktop. when i right click on it, there is no delete. i cant get rid of it?

    thanx

No. Nokia 6230 uses DKU-2 cable and 7250i uses DKU-5 or CA-42 cable.

Unfortunately, it is impossible. These cables are different 'inside'
(different chipsets, different data transfer principles, different logic
    etc.)
