I'm having a problem with a CARK91 cradle and using a 6230 with the
correct adaptor.
The CARK91 cradle is working fine with a 6310 or an old 6150
I recently got a 6230 at work and also got an adaptor so that the 6230
can use the existing cradle.
When I install the cradle and put the 6230 in the phone doesn't
recognise its in the cradle.
If I try the same phone/cradle in my colleague's CARK91 cradle it
works fine. All other combinations of phone/adaptor work in my
colleague's cradle but not mine.
Question is - how can my cradle work for a 6310 but not for any 6230
in any adaptor cradle, both of which work in other CARK91 cradles
I have tried cleaning the contacts but they seem pretty clean to me
Any help appreciated - this is bugging me!
Thanks
Daniel

Is this a replacement cradle or an adapter that fits in the cradle
with pop-port connections?
I had problems with a bluetooth plug in replacement and have since
gone for the adapter option which seems to work fine with my 6820
(same connector as 6230)

This is an O2 branded adaptor that converts the CARK-91 connetions to
a pop-port connector set.

Like you I thought the hardware solution would be more reliable!
I'm coming to the conclusion that its a question ot tolerances - the
CARK91 cradle is in tolerance for a variety of handsets but out of
tolerance for this brand of pop-port adaptor (i've tried 2 of the same
type)
Unless anyone's got a bright idea I might have to take it back and buy
another in the hope there's another brand that is in tolerance -
frustrating!

Sounds like the same adapter I have. If both the phone and adapter
work ok in other cark-91s then I would guess that your cradle contacts
may be worn and not connecting properly with the adapter.
That would suggest three solutions -
1 try a replacement cark-91 cradle
2 try an aftermarket pop port cradle ( you wouldn't be able to use
6310i in it
3 get a Bluetooth adapter. (Not the CPW one - that's the one I had
problems with)
