Hey
I'm sure someone will be able to explain this for me, you all seem
pretty damn smart with your handsets!
I'm transferring mp3 files via a bluetooth usb adapter (belkin), from
the 'my music' folder on my hard drive. The files arrive in my inbox,
but whether i'm using my phone or card memory, i can't seem to transfer
the files anywhere to set them as ringtones? Annoying...actually i'm
not even sure you can do this?!
Can some one put me straight on this? Thanx folks :-)

Why aren't you using Nokia PC Suite to move them to where you want?
That works for me.

Re: Bluetooth probs
Ah, because i installed the pc suite and it wouldn't run due to missing
components. The same for the version i downloaded from the nokia
website...i've read posts from others who've had the same problem.
Perhaps i need to persist...
So does the pc suite give you the option to save files to the gallery
then?

Yes, I can drag and drop or copy and paste into any folder I want. Are
you using Windows XP?

Re: Bluetooth probs
Just another thought, as you have an MMC card facility, why not buy a
cheap USB card reader for your PC & drag & drop using that - it should
be a lot quicker than bluetooth.

Re: Bluetooth probs
Thanks for all the replies - I have success at last!
I reverted back to the Nokia PC suite - this time downloading the cable
driver from the Nokia website first, then the PC suite. All working
fine. So now I have a bluetooth adapter that I probably won't use, but
nevermind...
Thanks again

Re: Bluetooth probs
Check you have the latest drivers for your bluetooth dongle. I had a
bugger of a time getting anything to work with my bluetooth adapter
when they weren't up to date. Make sure xp sp2 isn't using it's own
(microsoft) drivers, and if belkin use the widcomm driver set (which I
think they do) make sure the driver version is 1.4.x.x or later. Often
they're shipped with version 1.3.1.x and that's rubbish.
That's if you can be bothered to get it working now though, as the
cable will be faster than the bluetooth connection anyway!
