I just got a 6101, and it came with the dangest headset. It has a neck cord
and two earbuds (obviously for use for both hands free and FM) and a little
box inline, which measures about 35 x 18 x 8mm thick. It undoubtedly houses
a microphone, but on the side it has what feels like three buttons covered
by a single rubber boot. It's labeled HS-23. There's absolutely no mention
of it in the manual. Does anyone have any idea how these buttons are
assigned? I figure that the upper and lower buttons work the radio volume,
and the center is the answer/end button for the call function, but are they
soft keys to any extent (for example, in FM mode, the center button would
change channels, or in the call mode, the upper or lower would work for hold
etc.)?

Other than that, Nokia's "first" clamshell has a few disappointments, but is
overall a very good and versatile phone.
