I'm looking at the Nokia 6680 OR the Motorola V3 (black) (both free
    uprgrade)

I like that I can connect my existing nokia to my PC and customise, can i do
    that with the V3 ?

I currently have a nokia 6230, I like to change wallpapers, ringtones
(mp3), wallpapers, screensavers and tinker with it.

I've heard i can only set mp3 ringtones on the v3 at a certain bit rate...
althougth i couldn't find any details out there in net land.

Any comments, recomendation or tales of wooah ! MOST welcome

Last year i ordered the hideous Nokia 6260 (i think) big clunky nokia flip
    thing.

FINALLY if you have other recomendations or advice (shud I wait for a
    different phone) please tell me.

    TIA

    Charlie

I just looked at the specs for the V3 and it looks like I can do heaps
    more with my Nokia 6680!

there's no comparison between the two. you need to decide
if you just want a plain old cell phone that doesn't really do much
other than make calls (v3) or a smartphone that you can install
hundreds of applications on, expand the storage space on with
mmc cards, download and watch movies, tv shows, mp3s on, etc.
the v3 is small, fast, compact and sleek, but doesn't do much.
the 66xx has a slower UI, is a bulkier phone, but you can do 100x
more with it. both phones have great reception so that's not
    a deciding factor.
