    Hello
I have NEVER been able to get any Nokia connection software to work on any
phone going back to the 6210 and 9000i.
I have always had to use third party software for modem connections with the
    basic drivers from Nokia.
However with the n70 I am stuck.
I really do need the thing to work and of course it does not.

    Vodafone say:

Shut down firewall and antivirus (not sure what difference a firewall would
    make but did it anyway)
Reinstall (done twice using latest version of the software).
    Still get no connections found.

Vodafone now say it must be a faulty cable whoch I don;t beleive becaue
windows recognises the device correctly as soon as it is plugged in.

I have done some searching around and there is a lot of similar questions
mainly from communicator users, but no real answers.

So.... does anyone have any tips on how to make this work?

    Hello!

Have you tried Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS smartphones (
http://www.opm-2.com/symbian )? We do support cable connection for Nokia N70
in the latest version 2.7.5.10 .

Our program uses special utility - OPMAgent, which provides stable and
connection between the smartphone and PC. Please, read OPMAgent information
in installation notes and electronic help very carefully. OPMAgent
installation in our program is necessary also in case of cable connection.

Our program allows to work with your smartphones phonebook, agenda, messages
(including sending SMS messages) and gallery. You can also view your phone's
signal and battery level and general technical information such as its free
    memory.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
    Best regards, Maxim Vyalkov

    Yes Maxim
    I tried your software.
Unfortunately its a connectivity problem rather than software issue.
I tried 3 PC's and spent 6 hours on it.
As the phone was only on approval its gone back to the suppliers and I will
    get something else.
I am going to think for a while before I decide what to get.
I have never had any luck with Nokia phones connecting to computers.
