    Hi

I got 6230i few days ago. I was testing manual settings of 'media equaliser'
and 2 left adjusters do not make any hearable difference in low freq (I
thought it was due to low quality headphones of HDS3, but connected good
ones today and it is the same ...)
Middle adjuster seems to adjust low frequencies instead of midtones but to
me it does not boost low freq much, it rather decreases (when going up) mid
    and high tones.
I can't complain about sound quality but this EQ seems to be crap - is it
    the same with other units?

    Cheers
    Piotr

The included headphones have no bass at all :-/ I'm wondering if I
should buy the mini-jack adapter and try my Sony headset from my old
Sony MegaBass Walkman, and see if that would give any more bass :-)

BTW: Anyone know what Koss headset is included in the Nokia music kit
(the kit with USB cable, 512MB memory card, minijack adapter and
headset). Are they cheap og good Koss headsets (is the price OK)?

    Hi
I do not think it will help. I assume Sony Walkman was boosting bass a lot,
so small headphones (earphones?) sounded good. Nokia can not boost any low
freq (in case of my unit anyway) so it is main point....

I don't know, it only had that extra bass with those earplugs.
No extra in others. Don't know exacly how they did that :-)
