5160 backlight

I have a 5160i and the backlighting never times out.

As a result; the battery lasts only an hour or so.

I tried a factory default; no change.

Suggestions?

Check the "car" settings,

bad news is on the 5160, you have to be in the "car" cradle
to get to that menu on some versions.

the 6160 allows access anytime, both are obsolete ;-)
