I just bought a 6682 smartphone and love it. It came with a trial of the
voice recognition software by VoiceSignal. This software worked great so I
    bought it for $15.

You activate the program by using the voice command button on the left side
of the phone. My question is, has anyone been able to open this software
using the talk button on a headset, be it bluetooth or just handsfree. When
I hold the talk button on a headset it just opens the generic Nokia voice
    command software.

Nokia says the issue it with VoiceSignal and VoiceSignal says the issue is
with Nokia. This seems like a strange limitation as it kind of defeats the
    purpose of the software.

    Thanks!

Why did you purchase the software when it had problems? I would have
tried to have it solved before purchase, if they are not prepared to
resolve it then it is not worth paying them.

In your case I would be hassling VoiceSignal, they produced the software
and therefore they should ensure it works. However Nokia should help
you resolve it with VoiceSignal in this situation because they bundled
the third party software with the phone.

Customer Support for software is very important to me and will basically
decide whether I will purchase or not. I especially enjoy it when the
author accepts a suggestion I have made and includes it in an upgrade!

Yes, I agree I should have waited to buy the software. I was waiting for my
bluetooth headset to arrive in the mail and did not even think that it would
be an issue as the headset button "Usually" does the same thing as the voice
button on the phone. To me this seems to be totally a software thing as
software is coded to work with hardware, but VoiceSignal has assured me this
problem is nothing to do with the software. I was just hoping someone had
run into this problem and coded a workaround or something. Thanks!
