Upgrading to a "Branded" 6680 on Voda...

Looking to upgrade to a Nokia 6680 in the very near future. It would be
through Vodafone direct, so what features would remain after Vodafone
"Customise it"?

My main concerns are:

Will I still have active standby display?

Will the menu still be available to be able to permanently switch of 3G? (to
stop it switching between 2/3G in weak signal areas) - Not bothered by 3G

Will the 'Live' shortcut be able to be removed?

Anything else that I should worry about? Not really bothered if I can't use
MP3's for ringtones!

Cheers,

Matthew Long

Hi Matthew,
I think ther Voda 6680 is the least "messed around" version - I use this
one.
You can still use active standby, though I don't and you can select dual
mode or GSM only.
Not sure about removing Live shortcut, but as I don't use active standby, I
define all the keys to my preference, so it is onlu button 0 hold that calls
up Live.
H.T.H
John.

I have a Nokia 6680 and when I had the firmware upgraded last year to V
3.04.37 01-06-05 RM-36 it had the option to lock it into GSM only mode.
However the previous version did not have the option and a friend
since upgraded to a newer version of firmware and it did not have it either.
