Nokia N80 transfering SMS message to it from a 6230I

Hi all,

Took the plunge and went for the Nokia N80 on orange.

So far like the phone and doesn't seem as buggy as other phones I've had
when they first come out.

My only problem is I want to transfer some old SMS messages from my 6230i.

Now I can transfer them off the 6230i using PC suite, but when I try and
transfer then to the N80 messages section
the only folder I can put them in is drafts, I also can't see the my folder
section under messages to copy them there.
( Am I looking in the wrong place ? )

If I copy them onto the memory card as a file the phone can't open them.

Was gonna try using "Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS phones" but
doesn't yet show the N80 as supported and
am not sure it will do what I want.

Any suggestions ( polite ones only please :-)

I backed up all my 6230 data and restored it to the N80. It didn't pick
up sub-folders very well, the contacts have all become somewhat muddled
and old messages didn't come across. Maybe it's moving to a Symbian
that upsets it... either way, I think I'm just gonna have to keep the
old one around for nostalgia purposes.

Still haven't managed to find a solution to this one yet, have posted it to
various message boards,

I have managed to move the messages to the PC using PC suite so will hold
them there till
I can find a way to transfer them.

If I find a solution I will post back here.

Backup of data from a Nokia OS phone like the 6230 to a Symbian phone
like the N80 is never guaranteed to work 100%
Besides of that custom folders are never backed up.
