I am using a Hama hands-free universal device
http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASI...743280-2587734
with different adapter cables for different Nokia phones, the latest a 6610i
with the adapter
http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASI...743280-2587734
It worked fine for about 6 months, then it quitted to charge and work. I have a
standalone car charger which charges the phone still well through the little
circular socket near the multi-contact socket, so I thought the adapter was
broken and got a new one. But the problem still is there. I have even tried a
third adapter, did not charge either. So the problem very probably is in the
phone itself. I have noticed that when pressing the adapter plug hard into the
socket on the phone, it starts to charge but ceases immediately when I relieve
the pressure.
I have cleaned all the involved contacts without any effect.
Any clue what else I could do or what might be the reason?
