Hi All
Two questions...
1) Is it correct that I can't use my Nokia 3510i (on O2 ireland payg)
and a suitable cable to connect 'wirelessly' to the internet & send /
retrieve email ?
2) If the answer to (1) is 'yes - no way'.....
what would be the options for (cheaply!) getting a 'net connection ?
Background - I'm moving to Ireland in the next couple of weeks, and
the telecoms organisation 'eircom' look as if they're not going to be
able to get me a wired phone connection any time soon. Started the
ordering process 3 months ago... but they're taking their time.
So - wondering about a cheap 'stopgap' solution just to keep connected
until eircom get their act together. I do realise that the connection
will be slooooow - but it'll save driving to the nearest internet cafe
every day...
Thanks in advance

It is correct. This phone doesn't have modem ( modulation-demodulation
device ). You can use its cable for PIM and gallery management only.

May be you should try Nokia 6021? It isn't too expensive.
PS: Nokia 3220 is cheaper than 6021, but it has only wireline PC-to-phone
connection.
