Has anyone used the ca-55 converter for the cark 91 and the Nokia 6102,
    with success?

Everything works except for the charging circuit. The phone only goes
into the charging mode when the phone is practically fully charged.
Long drives (4 or 5 hours) with the phone in the converted CARK91
drains the battery (because I keep the display energied continuously.
The CA-55 is still not available in the US. Nokia (1 year ago) claimed
that it is only designed for the European versions (the American
software is different). I would think that the old charging
circuit/sensing circuit in the CARK91 doesn't recognize the LiOn
battery. What surprised me (as I had a 5160, 6160 and 6360) was that
the phones aren't designed to be powered from the car kit. All the
carkit does is charge the battery, and enables the external HSU-1 to
work as well as hands-free options. On long trips, I use a Nokia DC
charger (also previously not available in the US). The clone ones burn
out after about 2 days of use. Expan-Sys sells both the CA-55 and
    DCU-4 in the US.
