Well, other than flashing it, my service guy told me to just revert to
original installation, you need to type in some code, but he also told me to
change the connection from 3G to GSM. I heard most people complained how it
has a crappy signal, I did not experience that, but he said that it is due
to your service providers that are still not ready for 3G. THEY have crappy
service, not the phone. So when you switch back to 3G, your battery should
last longer, and you should have better signal, and I'll see if that will
fix my SMS problem. For now it takes less than a second to send an SMS, will
see if it will keep that way.
hope this helps

Thats not true, I have an N70 here and an N80, I stick my vodafone sim
in the N70 and get full bars at home GSM, I stick the same sim in the
N80 and I get max 2 bars GSM, they can blame the providers all they want
the proof of bad signal is sitting in front of me.

The problem is, that may not be proof, that is, the number of bars
showing on the displays may or may not correlate well with the signal
strength in the front ends of two different receivers. How's the actual
performance?

Right, and also, both were on 3G? Maybe N70 was on GSM presetted.

I get breakup and dropped calls with the N80(GSM) if I move it during a
call, so I cant walk around my house with it, I can hold a call in any
room and walk about the house with the N70, and I actually find the 3g
signal higher on the N80 than I do on the N70, I get no 3g on the N70
but 1 bar on the N80, I was totally shocked at this when I got the
phone, it looks like nokia are telling porkies, my sister in london also
got an N80 a month or two ago and sees the same problems with the signal.

Re: For those who have N80 problems
Sorry can't remember. I tried to google a bit but couldn't find it. Maybe
you could post it somewhere and get an asnwer. Or someone else here? Hm, or
just call your Nokia service center.
