Phone died help please!


I own a Nokia 6680 and did the latest firmware update however now my
phone won't turn on. Can anyone help me to bring it back alive!

You will probably have to take it to a Nokia Care Centre.

We seem to be getting loads of 6680's for fixing at the moment that have
been rendered U/S by the Nokia update service. Strangely it only seems to
be that model that is affected.

Out of interest, can you tell whether it's NSU that screwed them up
or whether they tried the dogtoe (Phoenix) method and screwed up?

There's no 100% accurate way of confirming that it is NUS that caused the
problem or if they were using another method. However, given that nearly
every one had a problem with APE flashing (when the phones arrive, APE is
completely blank) I suspect that people are telling the truth and that it is
NUS that's causing the problem.

Me myself have updated the firmware of the 6680 several times.
(Not realy updated, used the last same firmware each time) to start with
a clean OS (clean up some "bugs" where I thought it were bugs).
