Quite strange issue!? It sounds as some drivers conflict!?
And it is evem more strange considering that it dosen't work with card
reader as well?
Its definetly related to your comp IMO, try to remove PC suite and
reinstall it to get new drivers.. . .

There is something in the guide for the Smart2go Maploader that says
it will not work until the memory card has been used at least once
with Smart2go before hand.

Of course,, it is necessary to run soft once to create cache folder,
otherwise maploader can't recognize the card.. . .
