Firmware upgrade for 7250 - 7250i ?

Does anyone know if you can upgrade the 7250 firmware to allow visual
caller id. (as originally advertised for the 7250 prior to the release
of the 7250i)?
If you can, does anyone know where you can get it from (UK)?

You would think it would be, the hardware is identical (or very
similar). It would be a shame not to be able to get caller ID, it kind
of writes off the camera feature to an extent (I don't use photo
messaging).

I can't remember who tried it, but a regular from this group did so using
the official Nokia equipment, and it was unsuccessful, so I'd say at present
it's not possible.

If I'm not wrong, the later 7250 firmware would include visual caller
id. Just wait for the announcement from nokia.

I thought this was a rumour and the 7250 won't ever have visual Caller ID.

Hmm strange, the official equipment would not allow him to flash a 7250 with
7250i software, you need licenses for every flash, and theyre all logged in,
meaning you cant do it...

How ever, there is a workaround, I flash a 7250 last week, format user area,
and reset all factory settings etc, make sure the phone is clean from any
images etc, then remove the content pack, and then flash missing the content
pack, then load the content pack manually, and hey presto.!
