I have had my Nokia 7650 for nearly a year and I am thinking about an
    upgrade...

Thing is, from what I can see, there is nothing that beats it for what it
provides - it has the PDA features, it has Java apps and games, it has
    polyphonics and a camera.

The camera facility I don't need to upgrade, cos the quality isn't an issue
and it is used rarely. The java apps/games are quite varied and plentyful.

The PDA type stuff is good enough for what I need - a scheduler, contacts
database and simple notebook facilities for notes/lists.

I can infra-red all my information about and back it up, which is nice too.

The battery life is an absolute waste of time, but I have become accustomed
to charging it every other day.

The Bluetooth on it is 'broken' ("System Error" is all I ever get from it).

The 3650 doesn't have the PDA stuff, does it? (Plus the keypad is a horrible
    design)

The 9210 is just too darn big!

Is there another (pref Nokia - for compatibility reasons) phone that can do
all this, but with a better battery life and working bluetooth(!)?

Actually, it does. I agree about the keypad though.

Is the 7650 even a world phone though? It seems to only be dual-band.

Could someone explain this to me...I hear that there are no 7650 in
US/Canada. How come? I mean it's a 3G phone it works on higher freqs, you
don't hear beep, beep, beep sound on your speakers when you are recieving a
message or a phone call and still there is something diferent in US!

It's not 3G, just GSM 900/1800 with HSCSD and GPRS. It doesn't work
    on N America's GSM frequency.

What's a 3G phone than? You were correct, it's dual band phone, I saw the
label in my store, and there were some triple-bands too. What's the
    diference?

    } What's a 3G phone than?

A phone which uses one of a number of standards for very high speed
(by current standards) data transmission to mobile phones. For 3G
functionality you need a 3G network, though current 3G phones in the
UK can hop onto 2G networks when they can't access a 3G net - however
this means they can't use 3G functions till they get back on the 3G
    net.

    For more detail:

} You were correct, it's dual band phone, I saw the

    } diference?

Most of the world uses one or both of the frequencies 900kHz or
1800kHz for GSM mobile phones. The 7650 is dual band. Phones which
can use either frequency are described as dual band. N America uses
1900kHz. A phone which can use 900, 1800 or 1900kHz are, for fairly
obvious reasons, known as tri-band. Therefore to work in the States a
phone has to be tri-band or 1900 specific; I don't know of any device
that uses 1900 and only one other frequency, though I could be wrong.
