I have a Nokia 8210 that keeps on dropping the signal. Sometimes it will
appear to have full signal strength and others none at all. On many
occasions it has cut off in the middle of a call due to a lack of signal.

Will replacing the aerial/antenna in the phone solve the problem or is the
    problem more complicated than this?

Are 8210's renowned for having this problem?

    Thanks.

    Andy

yes, all 8210s have the same problem... but it could also be due to your
location. basically some phones that have internal antennae suffer from
    slightly awful reception.

    Re: 8210 Signal Problems

Ive got a nokia 8310, that has got the same problem, it just seems, to drop
the signal for no reason and then if im lucky the signal will return a
little later. Ive tried reffiting the antenna, but made no difference,
shaking / hitting the phone makes a difference sometimes. Someone said to
activate / deactivate some speech codec thing, this makes a diference too
    sometimes.
This is done by pressing *3370#, then it will ask you to confirm it, ok and
    then the phone restarts.

Not sure if that will help, any other information regarding this problem
    greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Yas
