Hello all!
I just received my Nokia 9290 Communicator and bought a docking station for use with the
phone. My phone is running version 5.07 of the OS, and I downloaded PCSuite 2.03. I put
the serial cable on COM1, but I don't seem to properly "see" my phone. I had an old DSL
modem on that COM port a while back, and my settings are a little wonky (speed, bits, stop
bits, flow control, etc.). I'm wondering what serial settings are required for the phone,
and I can't seem to find it in the user's manual.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Ah...turned out to be a faulty cable. Well...probably not faulty, per se; I tried to use
my APC UPS serial cable as an "extension cord" -- and my guess is that not all the
pertinent pins are supported in that cable. ;-)

APC UPS's have funny wiring, won't work as an extension...

Heh! Thanks, Alan -- I think I empirically discovered that. ;-)
