Hi,
whenever i connect an infrared mobile (Ericson T68i, Nokia 8210, Nokia
6310i to my laptop it keeps crashing and re-booting.
It detects the correct phone and as soon as it says its installing the
relevant modem the machine restarts.
When the OS is reinstalled the Infrared seems to work ok. Any ideas
as to what could be causing the problems.
The operating system is Windows 2000, SP4
Laptop is a Compaq E500.
thanks
Jon

Genius!! I was sort of hoping someone else may have had a laptop
problem along these lines and could suggest a fix rather than
reinstall the OS.

Re: Windows 2000 - Infrared crashing Operating System
do you already have service pack 3? it could be software conflict
somewhere or something like that
