I am looking for a phone which can also do email (SMTP/POP via ISP) and
sychronise contact and other data with MS Outlook.
The Communicator does the job but is expensive and bulky.

The 6800 seems the best option now, with the fold out keyboard.
The recent comments in this group about the 6800 seem positive.
Dual band is OK for me, though tri band would be nice..

    Any comments, suggestions?

(It is hard to get good advice from dealers here (Jakarta) on features such
as email, links to PCs, etc. - it is really hard to find out which phones
can even do email as advice is conflicting.)

I received my new 6800 this morning, absolutely brilliant phone. Email
is very good and I had it set up and working within about 10 minutes.
Keyboard is very good for emails, very quick.

Thanks, I just bought it so I trust you are right!
Bought it in Jakarta prior to a UK trip - much cheaper here I think.

I am trying to set the 6800 up during transit at an airport... maybe not
    wise.
I cannot find a way to do email by dial-up to my ISP. Do you know if that is
possible, or can it only be via GPRS?
So gar I don't find where to enter an ISP phone number.
My GPRS has not yet been activated, and that wil take a few days due to
    travel..
