I bought a 7110e from Orange about 3 years ago now and I want to give it to
my Dad but he's on T Mobile PAYG.
The phone at the moment won't accept any other SIM that isn't Orange.
I've called Orange and they sent me to Nokia, so I called Nokia and they
sent me back to Orange, I went back to Orange and they started spinning some
bull**** about it costing £20 because they have to go to Nokia to obtain the
unlock code and it will take 7 to 10 days. Even though Nokia told me that
they don't have any of the unlock codes as they are given to the networks
when the phones are manufactured for security reasons.
Does anyone know how I can obtain the unlock code myself, or could anyone
give me a hand? As I don't fancy going back to either of those monkeys on
the phone!
Thanks
Che

Or, if you don't want to do it yourself, most phone shops will do it for you
for around £10-15. Alternatively, there's many regulars on this board that
will do it if you do not have any phone shops local that will do it.
