Here's to all the many wondering how to remove the operator logo because
I've found that on this forum if anyone asks they only get half answers or
sarcastic responses from wankers like bert root!
This is for a 6100 but should be similar for other modern nokias.
1. Install PC Suite software that comes with phone. (6100 supplied with PC
Suite 5)
2. Run "Nokia PC Graphics" program & make sure nokia phone is attached to PC
either via a cable (optional extra) or via Infrared (laptops have this
feature more than desktops, make sure IR is enabled first on phone and PC!)
3. There are three modes for creating graphics, choose operator logo.
(online help gives details if unsure!)
4. Leave the graphic area blank
5 Goto file menu and select "send to phone"
6. Enter your mobile phone number (or select it from the list if you have an
address book entry)
7. The phone will beep like its received a text message. Accept the new logo
and there you have it!
Takes 5 mins!

Isn't it strange that it's no longer possible to directly upload the logo?

Takes even less to search the group you lazy tw*t. I often find it's the
easy way to go when you want info rather than post yet another repetitive
query. If you check the group then you'll see I have answered the question a
number of times already as have plenty of other regular posters in the group
but I suppose the seconds that it takes to download all headers might put
you out.
How nice of you to teach us all to do something that there are easier ways
than yours to do.

I only two of this way and to download it via WAP which if you don't
have it setup isn't easy. You wouldn't believe how many people have
WAP capable phones but not setup.

This is only possible with PC suite 5.00 as the newer versions don't
have PC Graphics included - why I do not know.

Hi,
I'm new to the group and still can't get my WAP enabled. It's a royal
pain - I'll keep trying though
Anyway, as soon as I got my 6800 I took some screen captures of my
favourite movie Scarface and sent them via IR to the phone. When I
finally choose which jpeg to use as wallpaper (Pacino firing his
machine gun over the balcony - ' say hello to my little friend').
However, I was horrified to see the 'operator logo' stuck right in the
middle. Then what I tired was an online 'Operator Logo Creator' --
left it blank -- and just sent it to the phone. It works a treat.
The other way you guys suggest is cheaper obviously (free?) - and my
way will cost you £1.50 - but it's quick if you are not as clued up on
the tech stuff, like me - then's a hassle free way of getting rid of
it. Can't remember the addy off hand - but if anyone wants it - I
search it out.
