Hello all,
My not too often used Laptop still has WIN95 installed but there doesn't
appear to be any WIN95 drivers for the 6100 (Undertstandable I guess !).
I have d/l the WIM98/ME driver from Nokia in the hope it may work but
that doesn't seem to be the case - WIN95 just doesn't like the file.
WOuld it be possible to "tweak" this file so that it was a WIN95
acceptable format or should I just give up. Nokia Suite won't install
either as it doesn't support WIN95.
My 8210 that I have just replaced works fine so perhaps for the odd
times I do need to use a phone/laptop combo I'll have to revert to that
perhaps.
Any suggestions though appreciated.

WIN95 = no USB support, Nokia 6100 = USB data cable.

Yes but but I had no plans to use a cable as I didn't/don't with my
8210.
IR.

Some of the later releases of Win95 had USB support. I have one here
that has it.

I made a copy of my 8210.inf file, changed 8200 to 6100 thoughout and
tried using my new "6100.inf" file - all seems OK as it no longer comes
up with "New Device Found" when within IR range, I can use Hyperterminal
to talk to the 6100 OK and it works fine with a DUN either as a GSM
dialup or using *99# for GPRS.
