Nokia 8310 sender details

I have just bought a nokia 8310 and when I recieve sms texts, if I open
them, I go straight to the message, unlike my nokia 3410, which allowed me
to see who the sender was 1st.
The only way to find out who the sender is, is to read the message 1st, and
then select details.
Is there any way I can change the settings on my 8310 to do the same as my
3410, i.e. show me the inbox folder when I select show (select 'read' on the
3410).
