Nokia 6610 GPRS

6610 and GPRS icon
I've seen this on other nokia phones where the "G" is displayed on top of
the signal streghth. Is this a feature of the SIM or what. I have mine set
to "Always On" and when i hit quit it just goes off. I want it to be
displayed what can i do?

On the 6610 the 'G' icon is displayed only when you are using GPRS,
unlike other Nokias where it is displayed all the time when set as
'always on'.

it goes off my screen too even on always on... 3510i phone

only phone i have noticed it always on, is on the 7650.
