Datasuite

Does anyone here have a copy of Nokia Datasuite 3.0? Or another program that
allows you to upload ringtones directly to the phone via a data cable? All
the programs I've tried let you send tones via SMS, but I need to be able to
upload them directly.

I cant even find it for sale any more as Nokia in the UK have discontinued
it here (unless anyone knows of any suppliers with some "old stock").
There's a download for the 3.0 to 3.0a update but this needs a Datasuite 3.0
CDROM to install.

I may have missed earlier posts in this threat, but what's wrong with the
latest version of Nokia DataSuite? It's backwards compatible with older
phones. Why do you require 3.0 as opposed to the current 5.16?

There is no Data Suite past v3.x, what you are thinking of is PCSuite, two
totally different products.

The 5110 vintage model which I have comes with a software modem built in. I
can use it via my Nokia Serial cable to get my PC on the internet for
surfing (dog paddling? at 9600 bps). Unfortunately newer versions of
Datasuite past 3.0a dont FULLY support the 5110 ie the modem funtionality
(at least) is lost - thats something I want to keep and use under Windows
2000 (and eventually XP). Id love it if newer Datasuites could be made to
work with all the features of this phone but I don't know a way of
accomplishing that re the modem functionality. Its a pity Nokia doesn't
allow that 3.0a upgrade to install with a NDS 2.0 CDROM.
