I have put my much used and much loved o2 sim into my new 6310i and have
lost all of the wap settings. tried to download them from o2 and the phone
recieves them along with gprs settings. however when i try to connect to wap
it says that gprs is unavailable.

as i understand it i would have to pay for gprs access per mb?
not really bothered about gprs as i get 300 free wap minutes each month, but
i cant bloody use them at the moment.

All i want to do is check nfl scores and the like.

Can anyone put the individual settings up on here for me so that i can punch
them into my phone myself please.

    Cheers

    Go here: http://ota.o2.co.uk/O2UK/index.jsp.

Select your phone model, and under 'Settings type' select 'Basic WAP'.
Ensure that you activate these new settings.

Yes Sluff the network is O2 and the country is UK

Darragh the network was kinda in the title there and anyone in the UK would
know the network as one of the big 2 while anyone not in the UK wouldnt
possibly know all of the details

The problem is probably not the phone and instead the sim card. You need to
have GPRS enabled on the sim card to use GPRS. This also goes for MMS,
before u lot say something i know the 6310i doesnt support MMS but i thought
it was worth a mention. Contact your biller and ask them to check GPRS
    status of your sim card.

    Ray

Thanks a lot for that. I hadnt realised that gprs needed to be active on the
    sim, fair enough.

I have now managed to get basic WAP access going again. I think I would have
to pay for gprs access out of my call time where as my wap access is free,
at least for the first 300 minutes.

    Thanks for the advice guys

As my original post says "at a guess "

and no I didn't chase through the headers but then that
would make me a dolt as well
