Hi Group,
I am trying to make the above combination work together with no luck.
The data cable in question is a DKU-5 knockoff using the Prolific
serial to USB bridge chipset.
Regardless of what I do, I always get "No phone connected" in the
connection manager. I can't find any information on what the COM port
settings should be. The default is 9600 N 8 1, but others have
mentioned 57600 or higher speeds. Anyone have any info on what works?
Should I have gotten a real DKU-5 or are *all* cables flaky sometimes?
Anyone have any tips or a FAQ I can look at? I doubt Nokia will
support the software with a knockoff cable and the support for the
cable is crap (surprise surprise).
Thanks in advance,
Chris

PCSuite works with original DKU-5 cable only. But you can take a look at our
Oxygen Phone Manager II - http://www.opm-2.com. It should work with your
hardware.
If you will have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact
us.

DO NOT BUY OXYGEN SOFTWARE! After 1 year your license "expires" and you have
to
pay more cash if you want to register a different phone. Scammers!

You should read License terms and Readme file more carefully before
scolding us.
Purchasing Oxygen Phone Manager II you get one year of free upgrades and
technical support. After this year, if you want to renew your registration
and get one more year of upgrades and technical support, you have to
purchase "Renew" license for a special price (from 5.95 to 12.95Euro per
phone). Not so big value taking into consideration regular updates (24
updates for the last year) and new phone models support.
Also you don't need to pay additional money if you want to _change_ one
phone to another. This procedure is free of charge and can be done in
several mouse clicks.
If you will have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact
us.
Best regards, Oleg Fyodorov.

Thats EXACTLY what I've been trying to do! Remove 1 phone & replace it with
another!
All the responses I get are "Sorry, license Expired" - I shall try again!
Also, when ordering from the website, the license text is NOT available, so
it cannot be checked before purchase.

So Oxygen, on one hand you say
"you don't need to pay additional money if you want to _change_ one phone to
another"
and on the other you tell me to stump up the cash! Make your minds up!

This is because your registration is expired and for now we cannot provide
technical support (including phone replacement) to you. If you renew your
license, you will be able to receive updates and get technical support for
one year more.
DB> Also, when ordering from the website, the license text is NOT

License text is available in both trial and registered installation
packages. Also one-year limitation is indicated in readme text that displays
during installation of both versions.
If you will have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact
us.

The main problem is in that you did not read license terms. License terms
and upgrade policy (available even at the order page,
http://www.opm-2.com/order/) answer all your questions.
If you will have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact
