OK, call me stoopid, but I can't find out how to do this! All I want to do
is to protect my phone from prying eyes by adding a security code to unlock
the keypad. HOW! I'm going mad!
Thanks in advance for any replies!
Cheers, Jabberwoc (UK).

Re: 3410 keypad locking question.
Wrongity, wrongity wrong!
You can set the 3315 to lock the keyboard by:
a) manual
b) timer
on the 3410 this is improved
For the £10 difference on most 'pay and
go' this is one reason why the 3410 is much better than 3310 as a purchase!
On the 3410 you can lock the keyboard by:
a) manual
b) timer
but you can now also set the security code to be asked before unlock is
allowed.
To do this see page 63 of the Nokia 3410 manual or pdf file...

Re: 3410 keypad locking question.
Cheers, Moley! I thought this was the option I wanted BUT I need a code now.
Is there a default code - I thought it was 8888 but it's not ? I just get
CODE ERROR whatever I enter....
Thanks for the reply,
Jabberwoc.

Re: 3410 keypad locking question.
3410 eeprom is a lot more harder to reset fully than in 3310/3330 - think
has additional checksums too
Default security code is 12345 (unless changed).
Try connecting 3410 to LM or reading in Rolis 1.9 B2 to see what it is.
If it still sticks, you need to force the security to reset to 12345.
Easier to do on DCT3.
- You could try 88888 as the security code (on the phone) is usually 5
digits!
- 4 digits are usually the pin (one on SIM card, not the phone).
